I have always wanted a turtle but I really don't know how easy or hard they are to take care of. I was wondering what is an easy pet to take care of that can be held, is inexpensive, and can be put in a tank. Please no fish, pet rocks, birds, or snakes. Also, no hermit crabs because they always die on me.

They are soft and make no noises.

Because they are mental lol. And cruel. An animal as big as a tiger cannot properly be cared for in a small living environment and always retains a wild streak...they can become dangerous at any point. I think these people are nuts. Small wild cats like asian leopard cats are one thing, tigers are quite another. I think its sad that tigers are so endangered yet people can keep them as pets.

I have always wanted a reptile pet, such as a snake or a lizard. I share an apartment with my mom right now, but I'll be getting a place with my boyfriend in about 8 months. My landlord now allows us to have pets (we already have a cat), so there's no problem there. But should I even bother getting a reptile if I am moving in less than a year? Is it hard to find a landlord that will allow reptiles?

We don't even collect a deposit on reptiles as long as they're kept in a cage or some other enclosure and don't roam around the property.

Snakes and lizards, as a rule, don't chew or urinate on carpet, bite neighbors, or bark all day. A komodo dragon or a black mamba may be an exception, though.

Lions are not pets!! They are and always will be a wild animal capable of killing you or another person. You need special permits and knowledge to raise them properly.

You order one from the university that breeds them. It will be about $ 7000 but if you really want one, that's how it's done. You may have to sign some b.s. papers, but it's not like they're going to go over to you're home in Canada and make sure you're following their rules. The fact is, if you do have to sign those papers, you will have to break some of those rules. Unless you love the smell of fox piss, it will have to live outside in a cage even though the papers may say they can't. If you have the money and don't care about lieing, order directly from them. They only sell the friendliest of puppies so you will certainly get a tame one.

How about a leopard gecko, small snake go to your local pet store and ask for advise, no tortoises though you can have a turtle but no matter what anyone says tortoises are not for tanks, hope this helps

So there is a feral cat that I feed daily on a schedule, and my yard is about 3/4 an acre. So I have a random space of trees (tree island) and in it I hid a cat shelter. However she chooses to snooze under a stone bench. This protects her from rain and hail, but not wind and snow. Should I modify it so it protects her, or should I just stick the shelter under there, or just leave it? Also it would be nice if someone could give me some tips on feral cat care, habits, and behavior. Thanks!

It is summer, so the cat isn't thinking of snow now... Lol! It may move into your space when the weather gets worse, but a cool stone bench is perfect cool shade for a cat, because they don't sweat!

In the late fall, place a cat bed or blanket in there. Realize that if you put cat food out, you'll get raccoons, possums. Deer, etc.

Feral cats go where its sheltered and there's food, period. If you place some food out when you come home them back away about 20 feet, it will learn to come and eat on schedule.
