What type of training will I have to do as a Pet Care Associate at PetSmart?

Question by crudick0810: What type of training will I have to do as a Pet Care Associate at PetSmart?
I recently got a job as a Pet Care Associate.. my manager told me that I would get a big book to learn what each animal needs and stuff (I have to wait for the drug test and all that to come back first). I was wondering what all my training would entail and how big is this book and stuff.. Thanks!

At my location we got small manuals. There are about five of them that cover the animals in the store: small pets I & II, reptiles, birds, and aquatics. They consist of little fill-in-the-blank type exercises. You'll have to run around the store and try to find different products.
It's all very tedious, but it familiarizes you with the products that the store carries, and educates you on the animals.
I hope you like cleaning.
