Q&A: What is the cheapest Reptile Pet to care for?

Question by Major Panda: What is the cheapest Reptile Pet to care for?
I am really interested in having a reptile pet, maybe lizard or snake. I am 18 and I am the youngest sibling. I have a part time job. But I am looking for a great beginner affordable reptile as pet.

Anyone know the approximate cost? Lets say I get the reptile for free, and just have to buy the supplies + yearly supplies. How much would I spend a year with a reptile.

Thanks in advance.

Anoles I would think. They require a 10 gallon tank with screen lid, and eat mainly crickets. The set up would be approximately $ 80-120 for the initial cost. After that, all you need for monthly supplies would be substrate and crickets....bulbs if they burn out, as well.
